I am excited to see your listing for a plastic surgery PA. I am looking forward to returning to a plastic surgery practice. It has been the highlight of my career. I am currently with Southeast Pain and Spine Care in Charlotte, NC. I have loved my experience but I wish to return to the plastic surgery field. I have over a decades worth of experience including 4 different practices and a medi-spa. 1st practice was in Williamsburg, VA. Duties: coverage for 3 different hospitals in-patient rounds and ER call, follow-ups, consultations, procedures and 1st assist in our surgery center and the hospital. 70% insurance and 30% cosmetic. Botox, fillers and skin care. Laser, CO2 and Pixel. Also wound care, burns and hands. I have done education for pre and post-op photos and PA suturing class. I previously received inspector cert.(American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities). 2nd practice: Penn State Health Plastic Surgery Department, Pennsylvania, PA. The NP went on maternity leave. I filled in part-time basis while maintaining a full-time position. Duties: rounds, med management, dressing changes, wound care, preop prep, postoperative care. The 3rd and 4th practices were in San Francisco, CA. I contracted with 2 surgeons to do 1st assist cosmetic procedures. In the 1st physician's practice, my 1st assist attributed to decrease surgical times as well as increase the number of cases. Duties: supervised tandem liposuction, and independent closures while they proceeded to the next case. The 2nd physician specialize in transgender mastectomies. We worked in tandem followed by independent closure. I was also able to contribute to decrease surgical times and increased caseload by 2 more cases. 6 mastectomies per OR day. While in California, I also was at a medi spa that focused on skin care laser hair removal, Botox and fillers. I moved to Charlotte in 2017. I found the pain management practice and was impressed by their professionalism, organization and physician/admin support. I have found that there are many crossover patient characteristics. My plastic surgery experience has greatly enhanced my pain management practice. I anticipate that my pain management experience will further enhance my plastic surgery practice. I am a seasoned professional that is accustomed to leadership and mentoring roles. I am goal oriented and innately a problem solver.
