As AD of People & Culture, I bring years of strategic human resources leadership, labour relations expertise, and a deep commitment to building inclusive, high-performing workplaces. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, I serve as second-in-command (2IC) for the department, ensuring seamless delivery of HR services across the organization.I specialize in HR strategy, and advising senior leadership on complex matters including performance management, compensation, talent acquisition, workforce planning, and organizational development. I lead collective bargaining as second chair, interpret and administer collective agreements, and manage sensitive employee relations issues, including investigations, mediations, and arbitrations.My role spans both strategic and operational HR. I oversee recruitment, onboarding, policy development, and compliance with federal legislation such as the Canada Labour Code, Employment Equity Act, and Multiculturalism Act. I lead the department’s policy and program portfolio, aligning initiatives with organizational priorities and ensuring effective implementation.With a strong foundation in emotional intelligence, I navigate the human side of HR with empathy and professionalism. I support employees through personal and professional challenges, mediate disputes, and uphold psychological safety while maintaining procedural fairness. I’m often the first point of contact for staff in distress, guiding them toward appropriate support systems like EAP and external counselling.I supervise a team of HR professionals, including talent acquisition specialists, policy managers, and HR coordinators. My bilingual communication skills (English and French), collaborative leadership style, and passion for the arts align with the NAC’s mission to create a vibrant, inclusive workplace.Whether walking the halls of the NAC to support staff or shaping policy at the executive level, I bring integrity, resilience, and a people-first mindset to everything I do.
