About Catherine Chatfield

Mapping has always been a passion of mine back to when I was a kid hiking with my family and trying to figure out where on the map we were. I followed my passion and now have more than 15 years of experience in GIS, most of this has been with SWCA Environmental Consultants, Inc. My expertise includes using ESRI software for map production, spatial analysis, geodatabase design and management, and imagery classification. I also have experience with aerial photography/satellite imagery interpretation and classification using ERDAS Imagine. Projects that I’ve worked on are related to natural and cultural resource management for energy development, Environmental Imact Statements, and land-use planning. I enjoy using GIS tools to help analyze and solve environmental resource management issues. I have worked with many government agencies and private sector clients and am a great team player. I telecommuted from my home office for 5 years and work well independently. I consider my strong points to be dedication, flexibility, efficiency, detail-oriented, well organized, and a successful multitasker.
