About Catherine Clark

I commenced my career in public libraries and have subsequently had experience in school, special, academic and state libraries, holding a number of leadership roles focused on the design and delivery of library, learning and IT services across a range of portfolio areas. I'm now fortunate to be leading the team at the State Library of Western Australia as CEO and State Librarian. Additional leadership roles have included: Member of the Board of National and State Libraries Australasia; Chair and Board Member of the Aurora Foundation, an international organisation committed to providing development opportunities for emerging leaders in Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums sectors; Member of the Board of the Council of Australian University Librarians and Program Director for the Advancing Open Scholarship Program; Member of the Curtin University Council, the University’s governing authority; and Foundation Faculty Member of the Australian Evidence Based Practice Librarians' Institute. In 2017, I was honoured to be recognised with the Excellence in Leadership Award from the Australian and New Zealand Association for Tertiary Education Management.
