About Catherine Flood

Hello,I am currently an active freelance journalist looking for new opportunities. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism & Communications for Online Media. Over my four years at Morrisville State College, I acquired a variety of hands-on skills necessary to work in the journalism field. This continued after i graduated while doing freelance work for online and print publications. I have interviewed and reported on numerous important people and topics. I have volunteered or worked with local organizations on their media relations departments. This has included press release work, network marketing, social media advertising, and reporting. I have excellent communication, public speaking, problem-solving, productivity skills. I have knowledge in InDesign, Dreamweaver, Photography, Social Media, and News writing. I work well with print or online. From my experience I also have learned good leadership, time managing, organizational, multi-tasking, and people skills. I am good under pressure and with deadlines.I am a hard working and dedicated person. If I do not know something I am eager to learn and enhance my skills. I love being in the Journalism field, no matter what type it is. It could range from Public Relations work to reporting and writing for a news organization/magazine. I like to be involved in every aspect. I believe this is a great quality that makes myself employable because I take my work seriously, but also enjoy what I do.
