When Ben Weiss, founder and CEO of Ai Squared, placed an ad in my local newspaper back in he asked,"Are you sick of the corporate hassle? Do you like helping people?" I answered,"Yes, I am. Yes, I do." That was the beginning of my twenty-plus years long career in the AT (assistive technology) field. To this day, what gets me out of bed in the morning is that I get to help people. Working with the small team at LVI America, Inc, as a Customer Relations and Marketing Manager, is a dream job. The goal of our parent company, LVI Low Vision International, in Växjö, Sweden, is to make everyday life easier for people with visual impairments and they've been doing that since 1978. That goal is LVI America's goal and it's my personal goal as well. Together, we achieve that goal daily. Over the years, with Ai Squared, VFO, Vispero, and now LVI America, I have enjoyed working in many facets of the AT business. From technical support to sales to marketing, with software and hardware, via phone, email, and in person, I have grown as a person and as an employee. And yet, the only thing that truly matters is helping people.
