Extensive progressively advanced career in U.S. urban policing with a career launch with the NYPD; extensive operations and administrative experience in all ranks up to Commander (Ret.) from the Austin, TX PD; and currently Travis County Reserve Deputy with active TCOLE Master Peace Officer license and commission. Just recently completed a consultant/contractor for PAE working with the Department of Justice (DOJ)-International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) on Tourism Focused Policing with participants from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The vast array of DOJ/ICITAP projects focus on promoting rule of law and human rights overseas in the criminal justice arena and fosters capable and strong international partnerships in the fight against transnational crime, corruption, and terrorism. As a CJ consultant/subject matter expert I have an emphasis on: Supporting and mentoring with best practices in criminal justice gender issues; Training in leadership, instructor development, and counter terrorism prevention; Guiding international police development and reform projects; as well as Advising on topics such as: Implementing criminal justice cross-cultural diversity; Community engagement and relations; and Ethical policing best practices. I work successfully with diverse teams of people from varied backgrounds and cultures and have a proven track record of driving results while breaking the mold for women in law enforcement. Past experience includes: Senior Program Manager at the IACP leading police reform and security sector training for programs with security and criminal justice leadership personnel from Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt, Nigeria, Saudi Aramco, Brazil, and India. Instructing IACP’s flagship training programs: Women’s Leadership Institute and Leadership in Police Organizations. Overseas in country work includes Police Advisor for the Office of Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Kyrgyzstan and Program Manager for DOS/INL Program Manager for Police Women's Empowerment Program, Traffic Improvement Initiative Program, and Multiagency Policy Reform Program in Tajikistan. These projects impacted social change and furthered the development of sustainable criminal justice enhancement.
