About Catherine Kendrick

From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a lawyer - and my mother said I asked lots of questions and would be good at it. During law school, I determined I greatly enjoyed working in the areas of wills, trusts, real property and estate tax. I've always had a great love for history. As a history major, I believe I gravitated towards this area because I've always enjoyed learning about the past, what people have done in their lives, and how that impacts their families and future generations. Additionally, I enjoyed mathematics so the estate tax focus in my career was a natural extension of my estate planning practice. Being a part of Wells Fargo's National Estate Tax Unit (centralized here in Winston-Salem) and working on estates all over the country and internationally has been such a rewarding experience, which has helped me learn a great deal and help many people. I've been so impressed at the exceptional service my teammates here at Wells Fargo deliver to our clients in Estate Services and it's been an honor to work here. I recently joined the Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section's legislative committee for the NC Bar Association, which has been a wonderful opportunity to get to work with a lot of great, smart lawyers to help our state. I also enjoy volunteering for many different organizations in the community (particularly Senior Services), singing, exercising (my Peloton bike) and reading in my spare time.
