Fiction readers can get a bad rap. There’s a misconception that the genre is for disconnecting, for escaping reality. And I could read it all day every day, especially if it’s character-driven and beautifully written. A portrait of the human condition will get me every time. My love for fiction was ignited in childhood and has endured longer than any other. It has built and continued to enforce my passion for people. Learning from, growing with, appreciating, and supporting them. Seeing what they’re truly capable of. I believe that everyone has the ability and capacity to make positive, impactful, and lasting change if they are aligned with what can best help them reach their potential. Throughout my career, it has been tremendously rewarding to leverage my passion for personal and professional growth with my organizational and relationship-building skills to create a space that helps people do just that, regardless of where they are in their career journey. From 1:1 mentoring to large-scale program facilitation, I focus on individual, team, and group development and dynamics to help navigate change, build skills, and deepen connections. It helps that I love to work on something from start to finish, to see things through. In nearly every role, I have had the opportunity to: recognize a need and verify it with the stakeholders imagine the vision for what could be different set the strategy for how to achieve that 🧵 design and create the content to enhance engagement and accessibility build and support communications to bring others along lead successful execution and/or facilitation seek feedback to continuously improve All with the intent of building a better experience for people. To connect them to what matters most to them so they can have the experience, career, or impact that they imagine and are capable of. “Change agents leave an experience that creates a positive cultural improvement environment” was one of the most powerful and validating pieces of feedback I received from a leader after participating in a workshop that I designed and facilitated. It’s takeaways like this that let me know that I’m on the right track. That my intent has its designed impact and that I am supporting something bigger than myself.
