Having spent over 7 years in the Criminal Justice world, I have a strong knowledge of the many components within the CJ system and the importance of data management and project support to assist with the development and performance of the unit with a vision to provide justice to all victims of crime in Surrey. My current role is a Change and Strategy Support officer which is very much a hybrid position as I support both Crime and Traffic departments. My tasks include producing statistical data for the performance of teams, providing first line support for Crime and Traffic teams with Microsoft office as well as other in-house systems. I am a Force administrator for Common Platform and Crash which involves being a point of contact for any performance issues as well as onboarding new users. Supporting Portfolio holders with individual projects which involve Disclosure, Performance, Legislation and general Case File Quality. Being a force administrator for Crash (Road Traffic Collision database) I have provided training and presented the system to a number of forces. Previously I worked as a Caseworker within the Central Prosecutions Unit which involved the Quality Checking of Case File building and ensuring that a high quality file is submitted to the CPS at the earliest opportunity, occasionally supporting Officers to produce this. Prior to becoming a Crime Caseworker, I worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Traffic and Process Unit. This role involved providing admin support with the process of a Road Traffic Collision Report, being the main point of contact for case files and speaking to both members of the public and other interested parties such as Solicitors and Insurance companies. I supported a number of files from 'cradle to grave' as well as generating Police Reports for Insurance Companies/Solicitors and answering any queries relating to CCTV, Officer Interviews and other items that are available.
