About Catherine Moore

To Whom it May Concern, I am writing to express interest in a Vice Principal position for the 2025-2026 school year. I am eager to use my coaching skills, leadership accomplishments, education, classroom experiences, and administrative internship experiences to make a positive impact on all staff and students with whom I will work with. Through my many experiences, I have been able to exercise my leadership skills in working with the administrative team, other colleagues, and staff members to create an innovative, equitable, and effective learning environment for all children within our school. This summer I had the privilege of working as a TTA, where I was able to complete the duties of a building vice Principal under great leadership. It was an amazing experience which I will use to help guide me into any leadership role. Throughout my 25 year career, I have worked in various urban schools. Six years ago, I decided to take my leadership skills and further my career by making a difference with other teachers as a Teacher Coach. The school that I worked at was geared towards allowing every child to develop their social, emotional, and academic skills to succeed in school and life. As a part of the leadership team, I was involved in supporting teachers, culture, curricular, hiring, district testing, and other operational and instructional school-based processes. For the past year and a half I have worked as an academic Interventionist/Technology Lead for my building. Being in this role, has given me many opportunities that I would not normally have as a classroom teacher. I am a trust-worthy and hardworking individual who is always willing to learn, grow, and go the extra mile to accomplish all that is expected in a timely manner. During my career I have worked hard to build trusting relationships with my colleagues, which has helped me in many ways such as empowering teachers to work towards improving their instructional approach and daily teaching practices.
