Passionate Educator | Education Coach & Community Builder Dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations to unlock their full potential, I am an accomplished professional blending expertise as an Educational Coach and Consultant, Professional Development Facilitator, Project Manager, Course Writer, and Author of the Educator Esports Framework. With a PhD in Urban Hydrology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, I bring a unique blend of academic research-based practice, and classroom pedagogy and practice. In my most recent role as a Curriculum Innovation and Technology Coach for a group of international schools, I am at the forefront of transforming educational practices. I play a pivotal role in empowering teachers, teaching assistants, and all staff with the skills and confidence to seamlessly embed digital learning into their curriculum and everyday practice. I have played an integral role in supporting the school in its transition from Google Classroom to Microsoft 365 and pioneering the use of Game-Based Learning and Esports as a vehicle for the development of 21st Century Skills. In my previous role as the Director of Education and Outreach at Immersive Minds, I spearheaded the development and execution of our Education, Communication, Outreach, and Engagement strategies. Leading a dynamic Education Team, we collaboratively created cutting-edge digital learning experiences and resources tailored to meeting the diverse needs of our clients. Additionally, I had direct oversight and responsibility for the management and expansion of Immersive Minds' Global Associate Programme, which operated in 7 countries. A major outcome from this role was authoring the Educator Esports Framework, for Microsoft Education. Prior to this, I undertook a dual role at Heriot-Watt University managing the UK-wide interdisciplinary network network (FCERM.net), an organisation that aimed to bring together stakeholders and professionals from across the whole Flood Risk Management sector, as well as launching and managing the university's Water Academy. At the University of Edinburgh I managed the Global Environment and Society Academy, which aims to build a vibrant global community who will work collaboratively to address issues arising from environmental change.
