About Catherine Moulder

I am a theoretical inorganic chemist PhD with a preference for quantum mechanical modeling over molecular dynamics, yet capable of both. I an particularly good at small molecule DFT and post-HF modeling with transition states. My current work is on water modeling for spectroscopic affects using pump probe systems. I have coordinated and mentored undergraduates working on my research projects successfully and assisted them in reaching their own goals. As someone with a BS in mathematics, I have also put significant work into data analytics; determining which metrics are most appropriate and then applying them as a means of supporting my work. I am highly trainable and relatively easy going with the soft skills to draw out the client needs and translate them into technical specifications. As a very broadly educated scientist, I am very capable of synergistic planning applying knowledge from diverse areas for outside of the box solutions to compare to orthodox ones.
