If I may quote Austin Powers,"This is me in a nutshell."Hey, how did I get in this nutshell?":) On a more serious note, I am a dedicated educator and lifelong learner with a diverse background spanning over three decades who seeks a role to utilize managerial, organizational, and written and spoken communication skills in a field that includes education and content creation. I hold multiple teaching credentials as well as a BA in English. In addition, I have proven ability to manage classrooms, concerns, as well as maintain positive relationships. Administrative and managerial experience includes project management during home construction, leadership roles within educational teams, and ownership of a medical transcription business. My experience includes successfully managing budgets, purchases, and subcontractor hiring. I often find myself in positions of leadership. For example, I continue to serve as the ENG 7 Team Lead, facilitate meetings, design/organize curriculum, and implement improvement cycles. Technology interests me, and I enjoy learning/implementing new applications to improve the work environment and experience. I have had great success supporting students in multilingual classrooms to develop their English proficiency. When I am not working, I may be found dancing across the ballroom, attending concerts or live theater events, cooking, gardening, improving my home and adding stamps to my passport! I can be depended on to make a significant impact on the success of any organization for which I am honored to work and am driven by a commitment to excellence and a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others around me.
