I have been a registered nurse for 5+ years. I worked for 2 years (night shift and day shift) on a busy, pediatric surgical floor. I became a regular charge nurse after 6 months on night shift. I often was assigned our step-down PICU patients. I learned a lot and wouldn't trade my experiences there for the world. Then, I spent about 2 1/2 years working as a PreOp/PACU/Phase II nurse at McBride Orthopedic Hospital, and I loved it! I transferred to the ER at McBride in January 2018, so I could continue working full-time while completing my clinical rotations for NP school. I graduated from the University of South Alabama with my MSN-FNP on 12/15/18, and I sit for boards on 12/20/18. I am currently looking for a NP job in the OKC metro!
