About Catherine Richards

I’m passionate about using data to make fundraising smarter, more strategic, and more impactful. With a career that bridges both the art and science of philanthropy, I specialize in turning information into insight and insight into action.Currently serving as Manager of Annual Giving & Data Analytics at the IWK Foundation, I bring a deep understanding of the full donor lifecycle, from first contact to long-term engagement. My background spans frontline fundraising, prospect research, and data analytics, giving me a 360° view of how information can power meaningful donor relationships and organizational growth.I love process improvement and finding ways to work smarter, not harder. Whether it’s streamlining workflows, building automations, or creating systems that save time and unlock better decisions, I’m driven by efficiency and impact.I hold a Master of Information (Library & Information Science) from the University of Toronto’s iSchool, with a collaboration in Knowledge Media Design. This was a foundation that continues to shape how I approach data, technology, and human connection in fundraising. At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to use data thoughtfully and strategically to advance philanthropy and help make a difference in the lives of others.
