About Catherine Richardson

I'm interested in scoping land structures. In my form of visual expression I look at the geological landscape as metaphor for stability in a changing climate and the uncertainty we face. Consequently I am drawn by curiosity to investigate what treasures are buried within the earth's mantle that are extracted and consumed at an increasing rate, creating pits, quarries, mounds even quakes? My work was shown at SFMOMA Artists Gallery, Ft Mason in San Francisco, Ca. Institute of Noetic Sciences, Novato, Ca. MOCA, Novato, Ca. Edge Arts, Visions Of Science, Bath University, Bath England. I have been awarded 3 prestigious awards for my art work; Travel Award from Surrey Institute of Art & Design; SCEA (Sonoma County emerging artist award) post graduation of MFA; Visions Of Science First prize from Edge Arts, Bath University, Bath England.
