About Catherine Riordan

Having graduated from UCD in 1988, I went underwent pre-fellowship surgical training in the UK and became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in England in 1993. I continued post-fellowship training in urology in the UK and then back in Ireland until 1996. I then spent several years dividing my time between raising a family, primary care women's health and hospital-based urology, before eventually consolidating my skills and experience by joining the world of assisted reproductive technology. In 2023 I took the plunge and set up my own fertility clinic where I can offer my unique expertise in a primary care setting and with a personal touch. I provide thorough assessment of both males and females, including semen analysis, ovulation induction and ultrasound assessment. For many people struggling with fertility, this is all they need and avoids the very stressful environment of a large IVF clinic. For those who do eventually require high tech treatments, they begin with a better understanding of what lies ahead and with support.
