About Catherine Satrun

I am a Chicagoland 2D illustrator and animator with 15 years experience specializing in hand drawn and digital 2D animation. Some of the animation projects I worked on include the intro to Middle School: Worst Years of my Life, Seth Meyer’s The Awesomes, a Celtic concert, Mearra~ Selkie from the Sea, which aired across the country on PBS, and commercials such as Lucky Charms, Trix, and My Little Pony. I have also collaborated on sequential art for comics Aw Yeah Comics issue #12, Ladies Night Anthology: Sisters, and Ed Siemienkowicz‘s F*cking 40. I've learned many valuable skills such as team work, hitting tight deadlines, prioritizing work, adapting with current technology, working with clients, and problem solving. I look forward to many more exciting projects and hope to continue developing my skills while meeting interesting people Outside of studio work, I enjoy working on my own illustrations to keep developing my skills. I participate in artist alleys at many comic conventions around the area and sell my artwork on Etsy under Satrun Twins Art Shop. My twin sister, Sarah, and I love to create positive artwork that is heartwarming along with creating work with strong female role models. Specialties: Illustration, Traditional Animation, 2D digital animation, Cleanup Animation, Toon Boom Harmony, Photoshop, and some After Effects
