About Catherine Serra

Catherine (Katie) Serra is a dedicated and hardworking recent graduate interested in pursuing a career in publishing. As a life-long reader and writer, Catherine has always had a great curiosity surrounding the complex process that follows a piece from its earliest conception to its final published form. As she feels continuously inspired by a breadth of literary pieces, it would be immensely exciting to be involved in the process of getting these titles out to readers across the world. Catherine also has a great interest in entertainment and media. As a multi-year member of the screenplay department of Ivy Film Festival, Catherine has been able to combine her skills as an English major with her love for film development and production. She has extensive experience in writing script coverage, pitching potential projects and engaging in thoughtful discussions with her fellow department members. Additionally, her experiences with Brown Motion Pictures have bolstered her passion for filmmaking and given her valuable knowledge of film sets and production procedures. Her time as a curator for WBRU radio stations Alt/Indie stream allowed her to combine her personal opinions as a musician with her interest in analyzing large data sets. It also offered her knowledge of broadcasting platforms and music streamer analytics.
