About Catherine Smith

At the age of 21 I had a vision of assisting people build better lives for themselves using my financial knowledge, which at age 21 was probably not much. Nonetheless it was a vision and I called it providing ‘wholistic financial solutions’. I then continued to broaden my education from a Degree in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Taxation and completed a Diploma of Financial Planning & Insurance, a Diploma of Finance (Mortgage Broking), a Diploma of Real Estate and studied to be an Accredited Property Investment Adviser. I also qualified as a Justice of Peace in ACT and NSW. My 20 years of study was primarily as a result of my frustration with the whole Financial Advisory Sector. There was no professional field looking after the ‘whole’ of a client’s financial needs. Frustrated with the whole industry I went on a side track and qualified to be a Life Coach, NLP practitioner, Hypnotherapist, Results Coach and Advanced Presenter. Once I realized that I had qualified in every financial profession and was now a Life Coach I remembered my vision of providing ‘wholistic financial solutions’. My advice is based on assessing the clients goals, needs and wants and the financial feasibility of the goals both now and in the future. Then based on these goals and the client’s own interests I devise individual wealth creation strategies to assist clients create, build and protect wealth. My advice is not just ‘technical’. It often involves a high degree of Life Coaching as well. I identify the clients goals, what is blocking them in the achievement of these goals, and then assist them to take the necessary steps to move their life in the right direction.
