My expertise lies in transforming legal functions into trusted partners, empowering organizations to achieve their goals while mitigating risk and fostering collaboration. In my current role at BrainBox AI, I’ve had the privilege of building the legal function from the ground up, and contributing to some remarkable milestones, including leading the creation of a multitude of our internal policies, including our Incident Response Plan and playing a pivotal role in our merger and acquisition activities. I’ve guided cross-functional teams through complex regulatory landscapes, ensuring compliance with Quebec privacy and language laws, advising on the emerging global standards related to AI, and enabling successful product launches, such as ARIA, our AI virtual assistant. My passion for problem-solving and proactive engagement has driven me to: • Lead high-stakes contract negotiations, aligning legal and operational objectives across enterprise customers, resellers, and OEM partnerships. • Collaborate with internal teams on Soc2 Type II certification, to maintain consistency in cybersecurity questionnaires and RFPs, ensuring clarity and trust with potential customers. • Develop and implement accessible legal frameworks - templates, policies, and training sessions - that empower stakeholders to navigate legal complexities confidently. I believe in the power of trust and empowerment to transform perceptions of legal functions, from the "Department of No" to a strategic enabler. At the heart of my approach is a commitment to building bridges - between legal and operational teams, between compliance and innovation, and ultimately, between challenges and solutions.
