About Catherine Thresher

I am a Registered Nurse specializing in Nursing Education and hold specialty certifications in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Progressive Care Nursing, Rehabilitation Nursing, Nursing Professional Development, and as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist. I am currently the Nuse Educator for an Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation unit and an Acute Care Neuroscience and Epilepy unit. As the Nurse Educator for those units I coordinate orientations, teach unit specific classes, provide ongoing education to unit staff, and track and coordinate the staff education and certifications necessary on my assigned units to maintain JCAHO accreditation as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Comprehensive Spine Center. I also teach general nursing orientation classes and am an Epic credentialed trainer. I am actively involved in Clinical Practice committees. My background specialties include inpatient Neuroscience/Trauma care at the floor and Stepdown levels, Epilepsy, End-Stage Organ Support and Transplant, and Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing. I also have experience as an adjunct professor in a MSN program.
