About Catherine Wilkinson
I am passionate about plants and natural/alternative medicine and I strive for the potential of the role of plants in human health to be made known. I am driven and hard working with a consistent work ethic and curiosity to discover more. My experience is primarily in botany and phytomedicine, with additional education on cell culture, zoology, entomology, microbiology, plant ecology and applied plant anatomy. My research throughout my postgraduate career has been focused on exploring the application of plant extracts in skincare and/or for skin related conditions, including acne and skin cancer. Throughout my scientific career, I hope to provide a valuable contribution to the discovery of bioactive compounds from plants and the further development of products from these discoveries. In my spare time I can usually be found running on a mountain or just generally enjoying the outdoors or creative projects.
