About Cathi Buttfield

As an industry advocate and former public servant with over 22 years of service across State and Federal Government (including military) and as the owner of a 70-year-old, third generation manufacturing business, I am passionate and committed to the growth and success of South Australian industry. Now as a Senior Policy Adviser with the South Australian Business Chamber, I work with the Policy & Advocacy Team to obtain feedback from businesses on critical issues, then conduct research, analysis, and consult to determine the Chamber's policy positions. Once we have identified a policy beneficial for the state’s business environment, we commence an advocacy campaign. Our advocacy efforts are tailored to each specific policy issue, ensuring that we adopt a targeted approach to influence the outcome in an efficient and effective manner. Outside of work and business, I am a Mum, an avid crypto trader and MTC Education Visionary and I use this to fund any other profit or non-profit ventures that align with my three highest values of Connecting, Helping and Learning. Disclaimer: I do not have authority to speak on behalf of the South Australian Business Chamber and individual comments made by me on social media platforms do not represent the Chamber or its views.
