About Cathleen Sheehan
Cathleen Sheehan is a fashion industry veteran, strategy consultant and full-time professo in FIT’s School of Graduate Studies. She currently leads and chairs FIT’s MFA Fashion Design Masrer of Fine Arts program. Voted “Best Dressed” in her class at Harvard Business School where she also earned an MBA, Cathleen possesses a rare combination of creative and analytical skills. As President and co-owner of ESP Trendlab for sixteen years and as an independent consultant, she has successfully advised hundreds of global brands, entrepreneurs and nonprofits on strategies to leverage core strengths and opportunities within the dynamic fashion, beauty, consumer products, tech and retail landscapes. Cathleen got her start in fashion at Escada where she led a corporate strategy program and helped acquire, launch and build several luxury brands. Prior to joining Escada, she worked in audit at the Big 4 accounting firm KPMG. Over the years, she has guest lectured at SCAD, Harvard and the Copenhagen School of Design & Technology, among many other schools and universities. Cathleen serves on several advisory boards.
