In August 2020, Cathy joined The Other Side Foundation as their Director of Development. The Other Side saves lives by changing behaviors at The Other Side Academy SLC, The Other Side Academy Denver, The Other Side Village, and by mentoring other therapeutic communities throughout the world. Cathy has the proven ability to build meaningful community relations, giving every opportunity her full attention, developing deep, powerful relationships with colleagues and community leaders. She is collaborative and empathetic, and every association she creates between two entities is uniquely tailored to help both parties serve their purpose together. Her success lies in her ability to effectively communicate organizational needs with compelling stories backed by statistical accomplishments to potential investors, community partners, and internal teams. As a result, Cathy's work significantly improves organizational communication strategies, fundraising efforts, and results. Cathy has a strong understanding of both formal and informal education and a deep understanding of the needs of underserved populations. She is a champion of I.D.E.A.(Inclusive, Diverse, Equitable, Accessible) initiatives and puts great effort into finding practical solutions that align academic and cultural needs to effect lasting change. Cathy ensures that new and existing programs are mission-focused, guided by strong logic models, and sustainable, elevating the quality of statewide STEM outreach and on-site programs, and even public events.
