Water is one of our most precious “at risk” commodities. Nearly all of the western United States watersheds, aquifers, lakes, and streams have been degraded to some extent by past and ongoing human activities. Due to this, watershed restoration activities are becoming more important and will involve increased use of stormwater capture, recycled water recharge, and treatment of degraded groundwater to restore water supplies and sustain habitat for native fish, amphibians and benthic communities, and avian species. My approach to surface water and stormwater infrastructure planning, design and management integrates source control, conveyance control, low-impact development techniques and quality enhancements to provide protection of beneficial water resources. Providing hydrogeology and basin hydrology services and environmental management and hydrology services in support of stream flow and water quality monitoring, sustainable groundwater management practices, innovative basin recharge strategies, stormwater retention basin management and water condition/circulation studies to restore and sustain aquatic and recreational habitat to natural and man-made lakes. Project team mentoring/coaching derived from more than 35 years of diverse professional experience in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, hydrology, engineering geology, hydrogeology, environmental management, and construction technology in private industry and with the federal government.
