About Cathryn Thomas

I am passionate about helping clients with disabilities lead healthy, active and fulfilling lives. I set up Celtic Strength Studio in North Wales in 2018, our mission is to empower and build clients confidence in their ability and show what they can achieve if they work hard, remain motivated and focused on their goals. Prior to setting up my own business I worked as a Registered Nurse on a busy acute medical ward within the NHS, a role that helped me understand the importance of working within a multi-disciplinary team to produce the best outcome for the patient or client. I enjoy working with clients and their families and take a holistic approach as sleep, diet, hydration, stressors, school, work and physical activities all have an impact on health and wellness. Having achieved my degree in nursing I continued to develop my knowledge and skills further by completing Personal Training level 2 & 3, Biomechanics Coach certificate and I'm currently working towards a certificate in Applied Movement Neurology. All of which has allowed me to help my son who has Cerebral Palsy and all the clients that attend sessions at Celtic Strength Studio. I have seen the difference consistent strength and confidence therapy sessions has made on my son’s health and fitness. He continues to gain motor function and independence and that is all due to the hours of therapy he does each week. I now offer the 1 to 1 strength and confidence courses to adults and children from across the UK as I strongly believe that you can achieve any goal you set your mind to if you have the right support and guidance.
