My goal is to enhance respectful listening and communication: between ourselves and others, and also between our minds, hearts, and bodies. Slowing down and breathing, while silently intending connection, gets us out of our sometimes freaked out or judgmental minds, and helps us listen. When we can hear and guess others' feelings and needs, we connect at the heart level. Then the person is more likely to listen to and connect with us. When we listen to and empathize with our own feelings and needs, instead of distracting ourselves or denying that these are present, we will be happier and healthier. The Connection Practice fosters compassionate connection through identifying feelings and needs, and also using heart coherence to bring forth our social-emotional intelligence.
