About Cathy Kellon

Cathy P. Kellon has over 25 years of experience developing and applying strategic approaches to improve habitat for native fish and wildlife, expand public awareness about the value of nature’s services, and increase community access to clean water. Prior to joining the Columbia Land Trust, Cathy was the Executive Director for the Columbia Slough Watershed Council, Working Waters Program Director at The Geos Institute, and the Water and Watersheds Program Director at Ecotrust. She has led multi-million dollar collaborative efforts to restore ecological functions in river basins in Oregon and Washington to benefit native fish and drinking water supplies. She also coordinated Ecotrust’s State of the Salmon Program, where she developed resources and tools to improve public access to information about salmon health. Cathy earned her Masters degree in Geography, with a minor in Interdisciplinary Water Resources Studies, from Oregon State University.
