About Cathy Oliva

I joined FDB in 2007 as a Research Associate, where my primary responsibility was to import select publicly-available Medicaid information into our database. Though it appeared straightforward, the task required extensive data cleansing and transformation. In the process, I honed my skills in Excel and Access, including Access VBA, and ultimately developed an Access tool that streamlined clean-up, formatting, and record mapping for external files. This innovative solution significantly improved my team's productivity and efficiency. In September 2014, I was promoted to the role of Supervisor. While this new position entails administrative tasks and performance management of employees, I continue to actively participate in project work and maintain multiple modules. I have expanded my expertise by incorporating SQL into my data queries and earning a certificate in Introduction to Healthcare Data Analytics. Additionally, I have gained substantial experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new software or upgrades within our organization. Currently, I am supervising my original team at FDB and co-supervising an additional team, consistently striving to enhance productivity and foster a collaborative work environment.
