About Cathy Schoch

Cathy is a producer and production executive who has worked in the entertainment industry in both animation, scripted and unscripted content, since 1989. After having worked in the Vancouver animation community for more than fifteen years as an Artist, Producer and Production Executive on well over 25 animated film and television programs, and another three years at Telefilm Canada as an Investment Analyst for Feature Film, Cathy has put her knowledge and expertise to work at Omnifilm Entertainment for the last 14 years. She’s worked on multiple series and one-offs, both scripted and unscripted, most recently, for Transplant Stories (Knowledge Network), Bush Wreck Rescue, Wild Bear Rescue, Jade Fever (Bell Media), Dinosaur Cold Case (CBC’s The Nature of Things), Fakes (CBC & Netflix), Gabby Duran and the Unsittables, Kim Possible, Mech X4,(Disney) and The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco (Rogers/Britbox/ Netflix). Cathy remains active in the entertainment community, as a 2023 – 2024 council member for the CMPA- BC branch, member of the BC branch Industrial Relations Committee, the CMPA Documentary Working Group and CMPA Member Development & Services Committee. She is currently Chief Business Officer at Omnifilm and also serving as acting Head of Business Affairs at Omnifilm, responsible for negotiating all deals with talent, buyers and financiers for Omnifilm’s slate of projects from early development through to distribution.
