I have a distinguished background in applied physiology, wellness, wellness, and clinical medicine, especially musculoskeletal healthcare. My work focuses on advancing healthcare through cutting-edge technologies and evidence-based practices. I am Senior Clinical Specialist at Google, where I am Clinical Lead of the Consumer Health Research Team and help to spearhead the application of sensor technologies in health. I am passionate about translating big data into actionable insights for the health and wellness domain. Additionally, I oversee Human Performance Sciences initiatives, driving forward the integration of performance optimisation principles into healthcare practices. As a founding member of The Fortius Clinic, UK (now a part of the global Affidea network), I have played a pivotal role in shaping multidisciplinary musculoskeletal healthcare solutions. I am also Professor of Human Performance at Cardiff Metropolitan University. My expertise spans across individuals of all ages and functional capacities. With a rich blend of clinical, educational, and research experience, I am adept at leading teams and driving innovation in both clinical and academic settings. With a commitment to continuous learning and development, I have completed specialised training in leadership and communication skills. My academic pursuits have been recognised through appointments such as the Isaac Newton Teaching Fellow and Communication Skills Trainer at the University of Cambridge. I have published extensively and authored leading textbooks. Throughout my career, I have been privileged to hold prominent roles in elite sports medicine, including Senior Physician at the English Institute of Sport and Chief Medical Officer to Olympic teams. My leadership extends to the prestigious Lords Ground, where I served as Chief Medical Officer for elite cricket.
