About Cathy Steele

I am extremely passionate about public education which I feel is under attack. We have forgotten about teaching our children where they are! Not every child is going to college and not all need to, but all need to be prepared to go out into the world and support themselves. We should demand that skills, trade and technical training be a part of our schools' curriculum along with the advanced placement courses. Working with the whole child will produce better students. Our children are more than just reading, writing and math. What about music, sports and other extra curricular activities that assist our children with their socialization? All of this is a part of learning, we need to stop selling our children short!
