About Caue Ribeiro

Dr. Caue Ribeiro received his BSc. degree in Materials Engineering in and in 2005 his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry, both from Sao Carlos Federal University (Brazil). He has worked with Prof. Dr. Victor Pandolfelli, in research about refractory concrete, and after a short time in industry, he has returned to university to work under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Edson Leite, in the Ceramic Materials Center (directed by Prof. Dr. Elson Longo), working with nanocrystals' physical chemistry. After a short time at a spin-off industry as Associate Researcher, in 2006 he was recruited by Ouro Preto Federal University as assistant professor in the Chemistry Department, Materials Chemistry Division. In 2007, he was recruited by Embrapa Instrumentation as Research Engineer in Nanotechnology. He is also regular professor of the Chemistry Graduation Program, at Federal University in Sao Carlos (UFSCar) and Sao Paulo University (USP), supervising Masters and PhD students.From 2012-2024 he was coordinator of AgroNano Network supported by Embrapa to manage its nanotechnology research with different academic and industrial partners, and from 2020-2024 manager of Nanotechnology Projects' Portfolio of Embrapa. In 2013 - 2015 he served as Executive Secretary of the Technical Committee and, from 2015-2017 he served as Deputy Head of Technology Transfer of Embrapa Instrumentation, responsible for business relationships with private sector and other institutions. Since 2020, he is coordinator of the National Nanotechnology Laboratory applied to Agribusiness (https://tiny.cc/lnna).In 2018, he was Invited Researcher in National Center of Nanoscience and Technology Beijing, China (Chinese Acad Sci PIFI Fellow) and from 2018-2020, he was Visiting Researcher at Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany (CAPES/ Humboldt fellow).He is author / co-author of more than 300 scientific papers (nanoscience/ nanotechnology, H-index 64 - Google Scholar), 7 book chapters, 1 edited book, 1 textbook and 6 patents. His research includes semiconductor synthesis and photocatalytic applications (environmental and energy applications); and slow and controlled release systems for agrichemical's delivery.
