About Cavana Epps

Charismatic, confident, and curious. I'm Cavana. A "small-town girl" with aspirations to see the world. I am a "Double Dawg", having graduated with both a BSEd in Mathematics Education and MS in Statistics from the University of Georgia. With a background in teaching and tutoring mathematics and current interests in statistics and Data Science, I have a unique ability to understand complex concepts, generate valuable insights, and make them digestible for people who do not have a mathematical background. I have a strong work ethic and an eye for detail. I am passionate about making math and statistics less intimidating subjects since both are ubiquitous in our ever-changing world. I currently work at Equifax as a Data Scientist in the Data and Analytics Rotational Development program. My rotations have been in Specialty Finance Data and Analytics, Identity and Fraud Data and Analytics. In these roles I have worked on Data Analysis, Data Insights, AI/ML Modeling, Data Visualization, and GenAI projects. My interests include tutoring, music, reading, running and planning and volunteering to enhance my hometown community. I look forward to connecting with likeminded individuals to learn, grow, and inspire positive change!
