About Cayden Olstad

Growing up on a farm in small town New Norway, Alberta I knew from a very early age that the outdoors and animals were a passion of mine. As I got older, that love grew exponentially as I started to experience new adventures such as hiking, hunting, fishing, backpacking, etc. By the time graduation rolled around I had a pretty solid idea of what I might want to go to post secondary for. A volunteer trip to Costa Rica to assist in Sea Turtle Conservation Efforts confirmed my ideas. Fast forward several years of hard work and dedication and I am now in the makings of a life-long career as a Wildlife Biologist in British Columbia. As an Intermediate Wildlife Biologist I am passionate about the conservation of our native flora and fauna here in British Columbia and throughout the rest of Canada. I graduated with distinction from the Bachelor of Applied Science in Ecosystem Management at Lethbridge College with a specialization in Fish and Wildlife in spring of 2020. I am now a BIT with 2 years and 1 summer of full-time experience working in environmental consulting.
