About Cayenne Warren

I am a Materials Science and Engineering student at the University of Kentucky with a passion for solving complex problems through curiosity, determination, and continuous learning. Across every internship and leadership role, I’ve consistently stepped into unfamiliar territory, quickly built technical understanding through independent research, and delivered results that earned the trust and praise of my mentors. I currently serve as the Project Manager for Materials Research on the university’s rocketry team, SpaceLex, where I lead efforts in material selection, structural analysis, and composite manufacturing for competition rockets. I previously interned with Disney’s Global Applied Technology team, contributing to engineering solutions that enhanced material performance and reduced costs across the company’s global parks. I am currently an AFRL Scholar, conducting research on casting techniques and microstructural analysis for high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steels in support of defense applications. These experiences have provided a strong foundation in both corporate and government research environments, as well as hands-on expertise in material selection, testing, and processing. I am actively seeking internship opportunities for Summer 2026 in the aerospace or entertainment industries—spaces where I can continue learning, push boundaries, and contribute to innovative engineering solutions.
