About Cayleen Bester

I specialize in 2D animation, background painting, and illustration. I have a great work ethic and attention to detail. I am passionate about storytelling and craft. Check out my website: Watch my showreel: work primarily in Toon Boom Harmony and Adobe Photoshop, however, I also have experience in Adobe Animate, Premier Pro, After Effects, Maya, Procreate, and traditional media such as acrylic, and watercolour painting as well as traditional hand-drawn animation on paper. My creative background started with traditional painting and drawing skills, which has given me a strong understanding of the art foundations. This gave me an edge when I later went on to study a 3-year bachelor of animation degree at Yoobee Colleges. For the final year of the degree, I worked on an award-winning 2D animated short film called The Mariner as the sole background painter and provided key, in-between, and cleanup animation for the bird characters in the film.
