About Cecelia James

I've had the opportunity to provide consumer loans, including HELOCs, SBA loans and mortgage loans since 1984 working with large financial institutions and mortgage lenders. In addition, I specialized in construction-perm, bridge and renovation loans. Established new clients by networking with builders realtors and satisfied client referrals. In my banking career, I held several capacities upon graduating from the University of South Carolina as a manager trainee with SCNB, now Wells Fargo. I was fortunate to be accepted into a program which was an extensive six-month training process that focused on learning every aspect in each department within the bank. I was privileged to have the best role models and mentors from the top bank executives, managers, credit analysts, sales training and more. Upon completing the program I was accepted as a retail bank branch assistantant manager and then was promoted to branch manager of a retail branch with customer service reps, an assistant manager and tellers. I enjoyed the fast-paced environment and building client relations while managing a large consumer loan portfolio including home equity lines of credit. I have worked in different capacities in my employment such as director of marketing for a small financial institution and mortgage loan officer and a loan processor for several mortgage companies. In addition, I discovered my talent in art and started my own company- a working art gallery and studio while I lived in Birmingham, Alabama. Since moving back to my native city of Columbia, SC, my goal is to work in the financial industry again.
