About Cecilia Afutu

I am the CEO and Co-Founder of Konzoom, a rapid grocery delivery service revolutionizing the grocery industry in Africa. Our mission at Konzoom is to provide a seamless and efficient grocery shopping experience by processing, fulfilling, and delivering all orders within 60 minutes. We collaborate with local farmers and entrepreneurs to offer our customers fresh produce and products, supporting local businesses and communities. At Konzoom, we take pride in controlling the entire chain from A to Z, ensuring timely, eco-friendly, and customer-oriented deliveries. Our commitment to excellence has enabled us to stock a diverse range of both local and foreign products, catering to the unique preferences of our customers. By doing the heavy lifting and delivery, we strive to give people the extra time they need to pursue their passions and enjoy the things they love. Prior to founding Konzoom, I served as an Office Manager & Operations Specialist at Ecosia, a Berlin-based company focused on sustainable initiatives. During my tenure, I played a pivotal role in streamlining office operations and optimizing efficiency. Additionally, I was a Program Associate at The Khana Group, a social impact advisory firm dedicated to developing sustainable solutions for African communities. In this role, I was responsible for proposal writing, managing day-to-day operations, and coordinating various projects. Spearheaded a team of 10 to screen 1800 businesses for the UK DfiD Business Enabling Environment Project (BEEP). Led a team of 12 in inventorying, reviewing, gathering, and presenting 1250 data on development issues in Liberia for the USAID Liberia Strategic Analysis Project (LSA). Served as an In-Country field monitor for Winrock International's Action to Reduce Child Labour (ARCH) in Liberia. I am passionate about leveraging my skills and expertise to make a lasting impact in the grocery industry and contribute to the growth and development of African communities.
