About Cecilia Quiroga

I am an emerging landscape architect with a background in climate adaptation strategies, ecotourism, and community mobilization.I have a knack for creating and planning community based learning experiences that can serve as a basis for solving urban problems.I am passionate about the transformation of cities to be inclusive of the landscape, flora and fauna as well as people of diverse backgrounds. I've worked with community organizations and universities on mapping accessibility in the city of Cochabamba.In urbanism my area of focus is on the areas of urban design for sustainable moblity; creating walkable cities, and pragmatic cycling solutions. In landscape and architecture I am keen on the development of new ecological typologies and how that can produce new urban landscapes. I've worked on the theorhetical and practical aspects of building Earthships, and I'm curious as to how to integrate waste water treatment into urban enviornments.Urban problems are complex and climate change urges a bold transformation in how cities are built and lived in. Solutions to these problems can emerge from trans-disiplinary and multi level collaboration.
