Cedrick Charles is a senior pursuing a bachelor’s, double majoring in Political Science and Economics at Eastern Michigan University, and will graduate in 2024 because he is interested in understanding our political system and economic empowerment. He is actively involved on campus and in his community, serving as a Peer Mentor for the TRIO Success Support program, where he has been developing ongoing mentoring relationships with EMU TRIO Program participants but has also been involved in the Sponsors for Educational Opportunity EDGE Program where He's been receiving coaching and instruction to achieve professional development goals. Learning business fundamentals and industry-specific training has been a significant part of his journey, and it has further fueled his self-driven nature.Cedrick is interested in the intersection of business, law, and public policy. He hopes to venture into the financial services or business strategy and operations industry because he is passionate about developing transformative and equitable business models that drive systemic change. He hopes to work for a company where he can grow within, give back to his community, and further understand strategic planning and processing.
