About Cedrik Daser

My career in carpentry started in rural Germany where I had the privilege of learning my trade from a self made business owner of one of the most versatile carpentry shops in the region. From the latest energy efficient new builds to restoring ancient timber frame houses, everything was encountered at some point and I was given incredible learning opportunities. During my three year apprenticeship the time was split 50/50 between the company and various courses and specialized schools, most notably the Carpentry training centre in "Biberach an der Riß". https://zimmererzentrum.de/ausbildung/medien/#c1291 Even before I graduated I wanted to move into a field that was entirely new to me and on a bigger scale. I was and still am extremely grateful for the time at Holzbau Moser, but it was time to move on. Through some research I discovered Structure Craft Builders out of Abbotsford, Canada. Immediately after receiving my Certificate I moved. Three months in, as part of a small team of new supervisors, we were sent to be eyes and ears for the engineering team for the Tayuan Domes and affiliated restaurant in China. This challenging project set the tone for my time at SCB ever since and I get to work on complex mass timber buildings all over North America, training local crews on our process and philosophy;"Building beautiful and efficient mass timber structures that people love to own and use"
