About Ceiledh Monk

I was raised in Nova Scotia, Canada where you can never be too far from the ocean. As much as I love my home, I'm aware that life begins at the edge of my comfort zone. I've taken every opportunity to travel, study, or work across the country and in an international context which has granted me countless life lessons. Through travel, I have learned that this narrative can be applied to many aspects in life and that’s why I push myself to stray from familiarity and prioritize well-rounded growth. Everything in my life has contributed to my core values: Authenticity, Curiosity, and Positive Impact. With my Bachelor of International Business from Carleton University, I've launched into my career and honed my skills in sales analysis, marketing strategy, and leadership across diverse roles and settings. Through experiences abroad, I’ve come to highly value diversity of thought brought by global perspective and different cultures. I’d like to integrate that into my career by working for an international organization where I can combine my language and business skills. From serving as a business student leader, I've expanded my circle with many like-minded, passionate, and driven people. I believe we should all use our knowledge and skills to make an impact whenever we can. Always embracing challenges by competing in the Changemaker Program, JDC Central, DECA (now ACE), and public speaking events where I showcased innovative solutions and exceptional delivery. With every milestone in my life, I’ve used my values to navigate decision making and develop goals. Overall, I’m building up towards a career in social entrepreneurship!
