About Ceit Wilson

I am an applied social scientist with over ten years’ experience working across government, academia and private consultancy. I am focused on addressing the socio-economic and sustainability challenges faced by rural and regional communities. I have a particular interest in the socio-economic impact of the oil and gas, mining, energy and infrastructure sectors on people and places. I work with communities, government agencies and companies to understand these issues and deliver improved social outcomes. I currently contribute my expertise to a diverse range of projects in both public and private practice, including: • evaluating the effectiveness of government policy and private sector social performance • leading the development of/evaluating social impact assessments and management plans for complex major project infrastructure • stakeholder engagement to inform effective policy development and project decision-making. I also have advanced experience in qualitative research methods, including interviewing, focus groups, surveys, literature reviews, document analysis and comparative case analysis.
