About Celene Davidson

I'm a Senior Java Developer with over 15 years of experience building enterprise systems in banking and telecommunications environments. My focus is modern backend development using Java (11/17/21), Spring Boot and RESTful microservices, with hands-on experience in cloud platforms including OpenShift and limited AWS. I've worked on high-volume, production-critical systems for organisations such as FNB, Standard Bank and Vodacom. I have experience in updating legacy code to more modern versions.I enjoy solving complex problems, improving system performance and building scalable, maintainable applications. I'm comfortable working across the full development lifecycle in agile teams, from design and development through to deployment and production support. I also do have extensive experience in waterfall development models. Most recently I have expanded into Node.js, Typescript and AWS, contributing to modern backend systems and APIs.I'm currently open to new opportunities, including contract and permanent roles, where I can contribute to building reliable, scalable backend systems.
