About Celeste R. Davis

I’m a public health educator and design strategist who believes learning should feel like liberation, not just instruction. My work lives at the intersection of pedagogy, advocacy, and creativity. I teach, design, and build experiences that make that intersection more intentional, more just, and more human. Rooted in public health, I’ve spent the past fifteen years moving across government, academia, and advocacy spaces. I’ve led policy initiatives, built coalitions, shaped national strategy, and launched programs. But what I’ve always cared most about is how we do the work: how we build trust, how we listen, and how we adapt. I believe the design of a thing, whether a conversation, a campaign, or a classroom, shapes its outcome and its impact. That belief led me to design thinking as a practice and pedagogy, and to emergent strategy as a way of being. Right now, I’m focused on reimagining how we train the next generation of public health leaders. I build curriculum that centers justice and community, and I design learning experiences that respond to the complexity of the world students will navigate and the communities they’re called to serve. I coach, consult, and collaborate with those who want to do public health differently, with more care, more creativity, and more alignment between values and practice. I bring a critical lens, a joyful approach, and a deep belief in the power of small, intentional shifts to shape lasting change. Whether we’re designing a course or rethinking a system, I start with relationships and move at the speed of trust. I care about the future of this field, and I care even more about the people in it.
