About Celeste Silorio

Growing up, I have always been interested in healthcare. I’ve always been skilled at bringing people together and working towards common goals. Prior to becoming a nurse, I worked as a caregiver during the last few months of my LVN program. I wanted to know what it was like being a caregiver/CNA since it is part of an LVN’s role to delegate tasks to CNAs. Upon completing my LVN program, I landed a position with the San Ramon Valley Unified School District as a school nurse working with severely medically fragile children ranging from as young as 3 years old to as old as 22 years old. As a school nurse, I did daily thorough assessments, administered medications, communicate any changes in condition to the parents and site RN, and tend to emergencies as needed. My experience as a school nurse solidified my calling to be a nurse and after a year, I went back to school for my RN while still continuing to work as a school nurse. In my current role as a Clinic Registered Nurse II at Providence Medical Group, self efficiency has been a personal focus for me, especially as it relates to patient-centered care, outcomes, and satisfaction. I’ve been really enjoying that part of my work and I’m especially interested in bringing the experience I’ve gained as well as my commitment to efficiency wherever I may go. My ultimate goal is to go back to school for my MSN. Outside of work, I love to go on walks and biking with my family and just be outdoors in general. You may find me being a beach bum.
